Abstract

This descriptive research aimed to study the use of online media as well as the eHealth literacy from 320 elderly in Suphanburi province, Thailand. The questionnaire was used to collect data on the elderly’s state of health, the behavior of social media usage, and the literacy of eHealth media with reliability calculation at 0.96. Frequency distribution, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that 1) the majority of the elderly used Line application and Facebook via their smartphones daily for less than 1 hour and 2) the elderly was rarely searching health information such as the drug’s use from online media.
